Composition is a mission-planning layer

Official PlayStation coverage says players determine the squadron’s fighter-jet composition during missions. Together with mission briefings, special weapons and upgrade parts, this makes allied aircraft part of the sortie plan rather than fixed scenery.

What the reveal does not settle

The publisher has not shown whether every named pilot can use every aircraft, whether composition can change after launch, or which menu controls the choice. Those limits require final-game evidence.
